Distance is just but a physical barrier for the USA Girls Scouts (Zimbabwe).

A unity of purposes is unifying factors for those who might be geographically separated yet share a common love.
Every 22nd February of each year Girl Scouts from across the world celebrate World Thinking day.
Despite impediments presented by distance that make it impossible for them to converge in one place, they come together in mind and spirit through participating in activities that speak to their identity, mission and cause.

Remaining true to their creed girl scouts from across the world dedicate this day partaking in activities that give them a chance “to serve and to love.”

USA Girl Scouts in Zimbabwe did not put the day to waste; instead they exhibited great love and service not only to the people around them but to the environment and Mother Earth.

As an organization we took pride in igniting a burning fire of love amongst the scouts by making possible the expression for their love of the environment by enabling tree planting activities in Domboshava, Mashonaland East Province, Zimbabwe.

Providing trees for their tree planting, together with the USA girls Scouts we helped spread the green love. We both made it our duty of the day to engage in environmental education, clearly elaborating on the importance of trees in the present and future.

The goal was to encourage the replacement of cut down trees and protect the existing trees in Mashayamombe community for purposes of provision of ecosystem services, such as food derived from fruits, animal habitation, shade, clean air and entrepreneurial projects amongst other benefits of trees.
